Change

Well, there is a lot of change going on in my life right now.

Here's a few....

1. I have 2 kids now!! Those are big changes....all the way around.

2. I painted my living room and kitchen. I love it. It's a nice change.

3. Our church. Uh yeah...huge change. :) We are in the process of buying the Verizon Wireless Theater (resembling the Woodlands Pavilion for all you Houston folks.) So, yeah that's a huge change that has me on my knees in prayer. It's exciting!

4. I'm moving....to wordpress. :) Yeah...I like it a lot better. It's that simple. :) So, please make sure you "change" my link to www.thepowersfamily.wordpress.com .

See you all soon!

5 Songs

I have a lot of songs that I love, but these are a few that are on repeat right now. Hope you can find some great tunes too!

1. I Could Not Ask For More by Sara Evans - I sang this at Daniel & Amanda's wedding 5 years ago. It's really one of my favorite songs and I seriously love Sara Evans.

2. Free Fallin by John Mayer - His arrangement of this is incredible. You can find it on "Live in LA. Where The Light Is". The whole album is fantastic, but the DVD is better.

3. Revelation Song by Kari Jobe - I love this song. I love the girl who sings it. Most of all, there is something pretty powerful when we are singing God's word.

4. Mighty To Save by Hillsong - The words of this song cut deep into my heart. I can't listen to this and not feel God.

And because I'm a dork....

5. Tim McGraw by Taylor Swift - I can't get this song out of my head and Jackson asks for it all the time. So, yes it's on repeat and played almost every day. Taylor Swift, you're my girl.

It's all over and just beginning.

Little Rae. 3 months old.
Jack and Car-Car eating M&M's out of their new "Cars" lunch box's.

Jason got a toy. :)

Wow, that was the longest month of my life. Although I am so glad that December is behind me, I really enjoyed it too. Our Christmas Eve service went really well and I felt the hand of God every step of the way. That morning I woke up with no voice (at all) and then by 3:00 it came back. That had to only be God!

We had a wonderful Christmas with family and a great week off. It was really needed for both Jason and I. We hung around the house, ate out a lot and just enjoyed one another. It was also a reminder to us how much our kids are growing. First of all, we have "KIDS". That's weird enough to just say it. Second of all, Jackson will be 3 years old in May and Reagan just turned 3 months. She is already rolling over! My babies are growing up!!!! (Tear) We had a wonderful New Year's too. My twin sisters turned 15 years old and we took them out for an "adult" dinner to celebrate. We figured they were getting tired of McDonald's and Chuck E. Cheese. :)

My wonderful husband gave me diamond earrings for Christmas. I will cherish them forever. They are simple, elegant and just what I've always wanted. My facebook status read "I got Bling" for about 10 days. I was just a little excited.

Now we are in 2009 and there is so much on the horizon already. God is doing some AMAZING things at River City. I have never been more humbled and excited to see the work of God. Our pastor recently reminded us in staff prayer that it is not a question of "can we do what God is calling, but can we follow Him through it?" I thought that was so great. Not just on a ministry level, but on a personal level. It has been a reoccurring thought it my mind all week. It may be something all of us could step back and ask ourselves. Keep your eyes on Him and have a Happy New Year!

Christmas Eve!!!....and some pictures

I have such a wonderful mother-in-law! Here are some pictures Sandy took recently of Reagan. I think her blanket and outfit matched. Ha.

Tonight is our Christmas Eve services at River City. I'm excited about how the services will come together. August - December is spent on planning Christmas. One minute I'm excited and the next I'm up until 4 am freaking out. It's been like this for a month....AT LEAST! I truly believe that we will meet the Lord tonight and I'm praying that he would bring people who never have. He is AMAZING.

Happy Birthday

Because this is so him... :

Jason turned 32 today! I, being the wonderful wife that I am, got up at 6:00 am to cook him breakfast. Oh wait, this day isn't about me though. :) Ha.

Jas, I hope your birthday has been wonderful and that your birthday "weekend" is blessed! You are such an amazing husband who never fails to make me feel beautiful and special. Fatherhood suits you wonderfully and you have 2 kids who light up when you walk into the room. Even Reagan does.....even though she can't quite focus yet. Ha. I pray that God would bless you this birthday because of all you DO and all you ARE. Of course, when Jason woke up this morning he made fun of me and said he could because it was HIS day. We are heading downtown Sunday night to have dinner and stay at the Westin hotel.

Happy Birthday Jason!
